When does it make sense to use Direct Digital Manufacturing?
Complex part design prevents you from traditional manufacturing
High start-up investment
Need for production to begin before tooling is ready (bridge tooling or bridge-to-manufacturing)
Near-term design changes are probable
FDM process is simple, safe, and it creates production-grade parts that are ready for installation in your product.

Pre-Process - Load the part’s CAD data into a Stratasys FDM system.
Manufacture Parts - Machine builds part along an automatically generated tool path, one layer at a time, from thermoplastic.
Remove Supports - Wash away or break away support material from the part. The production part can now be assembled in your product.

If desired, production parts can be enhanced via painting, electroplating, wood-grain dipping, and other various methods.
